The custom-made trophy, designed and generously donated by renowned industrial designer Karim Chaya, was offered to Heartbeat's loyal partners during the recognition ceremonies of 2013 and 2014. A big thank you goes to Karim Chaya for creating such a beautiful piece.
The recognition ceremony of the Heartbeat Association was held for the second year in the Nadege and Henri Obegi amphitheater at Hotel-Dieu de France. This year, the association honored its main partners in recognition of their commitment: Prof. Christian Brizard (Director of the Department of Cardiac Surgery, Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne), Maxime Chaya (Explorer - Bank Audi Corporate Ambassador), Prof. Alain Deloche (Founder of The Chain of Hope, France), Antoine Nasrallah, Tony Salameh (Aïshti Group CEO) and Prof. Roland Tomb (Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at USJ).
On the 4th of March, Heartbeat held its first recognition reception at HDF to honor its main contributors and donors. The association acknowledged H.E. Layla Solh Hamade, Vice-president of Al Waleed Bin Talal Humanitarian Foundation, H.E. Raymond Audi, President of Bank Audi, Mrs. Rose Choueiri, President of Choueiri Group, Mr. Hamid Kreydi, President of Casino du Liban, as well as Father Joseph Nassar sj, President of HDF, for their continuous, generous and unconditional support since its early days. These contributors were singled out of so many donors as they have all indeed been backers of the association since it was just an idea and have always been present to help us achieve our most ambitious objectives. At the end of the ceremony, H.E. Layla Solh Hamade gave Heartbeat a trophy of recognition on behalf of the Al Waleed Bin Talal Humanitarian Foundation, the first-ever to be offered by the Foundation.
